Patio Replacement
Old patios fail for familiar reasons in our climate: settlement from poor base prep, heaving from freeze-thaw cycles, and crumbling surfaces from years of salt and de-icer runoff. We tear out and dispose of the failed slab, rebuild the base properly, and pour a patio engineered to avoid the problems the last one had. A replacement is also the natural time to resize, reshape, or upgrade the finish.
Drainage and Grading Done Right
The most important part of a patio is the part you never see. We grade every patio so water flows away from your foundation and doesn't pool on the surface. In our climate, trapped water under a slab means heaving by spring — so drainage isn't an add-on, it's the foundation of the job. We also plan for downspout discharge and yard grading so the patio works with your property's water flow, not against it.
Finish Options
Broom finish. Clean, classic, and slip-resistant — the workhorse finish that looks right on any home.
Exposed aggregate. Decorative stone finish with natural texture and visual interest. Great traction, distinctive look.

Color. Integral color mixed through the slab, or stains and antiquing that add depth and complement your home's exterior.
Why Concrete Patios Work Here
Stands up to the seasons. Cold-climate concrete with proper joints and base prep handles freeze-thaw far better than wood decking (which rots and needs restaining) or thin pavers (which shift and grow weeds).
Low maintenance. No staining, no rotting boards, no weeds sprouting between joints. Sweep it, hose it down, and apply sealer every few years.
Design flexibility. Sizes, shapes, curves, steps, seat walls, and decorative finishes — concrete adapts to the yard you have, not the other way around.

- Cure and cleanup. Proper curing time, then a clean site and a final walkthrough with you.
